DESIGN & INSTALLATION · UK-WIDE

BMS & BEMS design and installation.

From specification and control-panel manufacture to installation, testing and commissioning. Building controls planned around your site and plant.

An Antler installation.

Antler designs and installs building and energy management systems that bring heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and energy monitoring into a coordinated control system. We start with the building, its plant and the way it needs to operate.

THE SERVICE IN PRACTICE

From the brief to a working system.

The agreed project scope can bring together the following stages.

01

Specify the requirements

Discuss your building, equipment, operating hours and priorities. Agree what the system needs to control, monitor and report before developing the design.

02

Design the controls

Develop system drawings and bills of materials around the agreed specification, including the controllers, sensors and interfaces required for the installation.

03

Manufacture the panels

Procure the specified equipment and build the control panels around the project requirements, with clearly arranged components and wiring.

04

Test before installation

Test the panels before they arrive on site, so the installation starts with equipment prepared for the agreed design.

05

Install and connect

Coordinate the required trades, install the control panels, sensors and interfaces, and connect the systems included in the agreed scope.

06

Commission and configure

Commission the system and complete the local setup around the building and plant. Agree how the completed controls will be used and supported.

THE BUILDING COMES FIRST

A specification shaped around your site.

A new controls system does not automatically mean replacing every item of plant. We assess what can be retained, connected and controlled, and identify where new equipment is needed.

  • Heating, cooling and ventilation controls.
  • Lighting controls and schedules where included.
  • Energy metering and operating information.
  • Interfaces to existing equipment, subject to compatibility.

AGREE THE SCOPE

Know what the project includes.

We discuss the systems to be included, the proposed control approach and the installation requirements before agreeing the work. Any connection to bureau monitoring or ongoing maintenance is agreed as part of the support arrangements.

  • The building and plant covered by the design.
  • Drawings, panel manufacture and testing.
  • Site installation and coordination with other trades.
  • Commissioning, local setup and ongoing support requirements.

CONNECTED BUILDING CONTROLS

One view of the systems that matter.

Our work is predominantly based on Tridium's Niagara 4 framework. We also use and integrate other equipment where it suits the installation. Controller selection and the available interfaces depend on the building, the equipment and the agreed scope.

THROUGH THE SYSTEM LIFECYCLE

Support beyond commissioning.

Where agreed, the completed installation can connect to Antler bureau monitoring and a suitable periodic maintenance arrangement. Those services help you understand operation and keep the controls supported throughout their lifecycle.

BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

Your questions.

Can you work with existing plant?

We assess the equipment and its available interfaces before proposing the controls. Usable plant can be retained where it can meet the requirements; replacement is considered where needed.

Does Antler coordinate the installation?

Our installation process includes coordinating the required trades and installing the specified control panels, sensors and interfaces. The responsibilities and scope are agreed for the project.

Can monitoring and maintenance be included?

Yes, bureau monitoring and ongoing maintenance can be discussed alongside the installation. Their scope and support arrangements are agreed with you.
